Why does a dog bark at the wind all day and destroy up everything in reach? Are these barking dogs misbehaving? It is possible the owner has been at work all day and the dog had to find something (a job) to keep himself busy with. Most barking dogs are a result of tedium and a lack of exercise. Ascendancy is another reason for barking dogs. This is when a dog takes control by barking.
Active and passive dominance:
Active dominance is when the dog takes control by barking, rushing and biting if the owner or the pack fails to obey the rules.
Passive dominance is where the dog gets the humans to do things without them realizing it. It is done with little endurance the human does not object to. Humans really give the dog authority to steer in a woofer way.
Studies suggest that breeds differ in their predomination over owners. In declining order of predomination are Fox Terriers, Siberian Huskies, Afghans, Miniature Schnauzers, Chows and Scottish terriers.
Studies proved that male dogs were more active and more assertive when with other dogs, and they were more dominant over their owners and showed more territorial defence than females.
Males showed more aggression than fixed dogs with females showing least aggression. Males were most sure to show destructive behavior and separation anxiety.
Here are some of the usual issues amongst dogs:
